Basil Gimlet // A cocktail to celebrate citrus season! Gin, blood orange, lime, basil and cucumber combine to create this refreshing sip! // The Shared Sip

See those perfect oil droplets skimming the top of the cocktail? They added so much flavor and depth to this Basil Gimlet, what is a really simple cocktail. I made this one for an event last month Confetti Kitchen and La Tourangelle (you can read more about it here!).

This cocktail starts with muddling cucumber and basil, and is then topped with fresh citrus and gin, and finished with basil oil. I’m starting to play around with oils in my cocktails more and think you should too! Together, we got this.
